come see me where the greens are yellow,
where above reflects the world below.
watch as i bloom like a woman scorned,
with flowing hair in scarlet adorned.

they say dark nights will and go,
but why they come, i’d like to know.
“the stars, my love,” the silence said.
“they only shine when light has fled.:

“will the sun ever rise again?” i asked,
but all i met was empty silence vast.

i thought i heard my name in the silence.
not spoken aloud. just…remembered.

as if the universe blinked,
and for a moment, i was known.
i turned to seek the voice, my breath held fast,
no one was there. just shadows drifting past.

i gasped for air and saw hues of pink,
the stars within me, do they still blink?
or have they died, or disappeared?
alas, they’re gone, just as i feared.

i lay my fears where fallen stars reside,
where reality and dreams collide.
still, a spark within begins to swell,
a quiet fire no dark can quell.

what lies beyond the threshold, i don’t know,
seek now, live now, i must go.

i’ll walk until the echoes die,
where starlight spills and shadows sigh.
into the dusk where secrets bide,

with wonder as my only guide.
